Legislative Information

ESSA Passes!!!!

If you aren't sure what this means to you as a school counselor I invite you to read Amanda Fitzgerald's overview.  It was written prior to the ESSA passing but it give an outstanding overview of how it helps school counselors.  To read Amanda's overview Click Here
Legislative Meet and Greet
A meet and greet with Delaware Legislators is scheduled for June 9th 2016 from 11:00 to 1:00.  There will be a meeting prior to then to discuss what our talking points should be when we have the attention of the people in Dover.  If you would like to be part of that meeting please contact me.  This year we are going it alone!  In the past, we partnered with another agency that was not promoting the same or similar agenda as DSCA.
Other stuff:
I am currently working with a variety of people in Dover and Washington DC.  I want to make sure everyone knows what school counselors actually should be doing as opposed to what they think we should be doing.  If you have specific legislative concerns please Contact Me!
