Dear DSCA Elections Committee, I am excited to submit my application for consideration for the Delaware School Counselor Association Board of Directors. I have thoroughly enjoyed my position on the Board for the last three years and I would be honored to be selected by our members to continue in this role.
I am seeking election to the Board of Directors because I know that it will continue to assist in professional growth as a school counselor. Working with such dedicated school counselors helps to inspire me in my work at my school as well as the work we have done as an association. I hope to gain additional experience working with school counselors and state in our state as well as others across the country.
I currently work at Caesar Rodney High School with students in grades 9-12. I am passionate about helping my students reach their goals and assisting them to meet their needs. I love my job and enjoy continuing my work with school counseling work outside of the school day.
In addition to spending time with DSCA, I am a committee member for Inclusion, Access and Success Committee for the Potomac and Chesapeake College Admissions Counselor Association. I am a member of our school’s English Language Learner Strategic Planning Committee, Social Emotional Learning Team and our Equity Committee. I recently took on a role at ASCA as a group leader for the Social Emotional Learning Affinity Group.
I truly love everything that school counseling stands for and am thrilled for the opportunity to continue to expand my knowledge and experience in the role of DSCA Director. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best, Krissy Hall, School Counselor
