Mental Health May 2021

Join DSCA & DOE for this unique professional learning series.
All events are being offered for FREE.

Start Mental Health May by attending DSCA's kick off event on Wednesday, May 5th where ASCA's School Counselor of the Year will rejuvenate the audience with her keynote address focused on how embracing our stories can elevate our programs, inspire others, and prevent burnout. Find out who will be named Delaware’s School Counselor of the Year and be there for your chance to win fabulous door prizes!

From May 5th through the 19th, there are a variety of 1-1.5 hour sessions focused on mental health topics. Each session will consist of an overview of the topic, specific tools and techniques school counselors can use when working with students followed by an opportunity for questions and answers. Register for as few or as many of these sessions as you want.

Finally, take advantage of a unique opportunity to view the movie Screenagers Next Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience on May 13th. In this film Dr. Delaney Ruston examines the science behind teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and how adults can help teens navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.
